  I stayed for three nights over Memorial Day weekend 2017 in one of the 4-bunk rooms on the 2nd floor. The room was clean and well appointed, with reading lights for each bed, ample shelving, and a lockable storage area for each guest. The bathroom and shower facilities, on the same floor, were very good -- hot water, towels and some toiletries supplied, hooks where you could hang your clothes and shower bag. The downstairs kitchen had all the cooking equipment you could need, as well as storage areas for your own supplies. Upstairs every available space has a function, but downstairs there is abundant space for relaxing and socializing -- musical instruments are provided too! There is a supermarket literally a block away, and a reasonable restaurant even closer. The real draw of this hostel is its owner, Megan. She knows the area for having grown up there and is a priceless source of information and advice. She is a knowledgeable and committed environmentalist who has built a sustainable "green" hostel, and her associates Charlie and Carmen share her values and friendliness. I give this hostel the highest possible recommendation and hope to return some day.
